Common questions
Do you really come to me?
Yes. Autocheck WA is a mobile mechanic. The tools, the scan gear and the parts travel in the van to your home, your workplace, a car park or a worksite. You do not drop the car anywhere.
Will a mobile logbook service keep my new-car warranty?
Yes. In Australia a new-car warranty does not depend on going back to the dealer. Any qualified mechanic can service the car, as long as the work follows the manufacturer’s schedule and uses parts that meet its specifications. The logbook is stamped at the end of the visit.
What does a pre-purchase inspection cover?
Engine, cooling, transmission and driveline, brakes, suspension, steering, tyres, body and underbody, electrics and a diagnostic scan, plus a road test where the seller allows it. You get a plain-English rundown of what the car needs and roughly what that would cost, so you can negotiate or walk away.
Can everything be fixed on the spot?
Most servicing, brake, battery and diagnostic work is finished in the one visit. If a part has to be ordered, you hear the options before anything happens and the mechanic comes back to fit it at a time that suits you.
Do you work after hours or on short notice?
Yes. After-hours and short-notice service is part of what Autocheck WA offers, for everyday cars as well as fleets that need to be back on the road by the morning.
