Good to know
A flat battery is not always a bad battery. A failing alternator, a drain from an accessory or corroded terminals can all look the same from the driver’s seat, which is why the charging system is tested too.
Many newer cars need the new battery registered with the car’s computer so it charges correctly. That is part of the fitting.
